I can’t read Japanese. But I know how to use a translator. Or several, in fact. And dictionaries.
This game has been translated by comparing several machine translations, using lots of intuition, a ton of common sense and a plethora of guess-work. The goal has always been to translate the story into English while at the same time providing a smooth reading experience an not straying too far from the source.
Menu buttons and on-screen text have been translated where necessary.
Also, I now officially hate onomatopoeia. They are a pain to translate.
Bugfixes:
If you get a blue screen or the visual novel refuses to start or gives you some sort of error message, then try one of the following two things:
1) Set your System Locale to Japanese. Go into ‘Control Panel\Clock and Region’, press ‘Region’ then ‘Administrative’ and then ‘Change system locale…’. Choose Japanese.
2) Use Locale Emulator. If the latest version doesn’t work, try using an earlier version. Some users have reported that version ‘ 2.4.1.0 ‘ works.
